Today I took photos of a friend and her family. Her mother has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer, and they wanted some happy shots of the family before she has to go through chemo and such. I was quite honored to be taking the pictures, and I think they turned out quite well. I hope she's happy with them, and that surgery goes well for her mother, they're all in my prayers.
After the photoshoot we went to the Orlando farmer's market, which I'd never been to before. Pretty small, but still had a lot of character.
Snapped the above shot of an orchid while walking about there.
For those of you, who like me, have no idea about downtown activities, apparently meter parking is free on Sundays. Good thing i could only find 75 cents in my car today, cause I put all I had in there!
All in all I think I've regained a little bit of hope.
Oh, and of course repaired a friendship where we'd both drifted away. That was also a good part of today.

Result of going on a photo day earlier this week with a friend, got a few really good shots out of it!
Thank you all for your support in the photo contest! I made it into the top 150, so will now be put into the final judging for the $1000 scholarship!
School is starting soon, which means I need to find a job even more.
If there's a photography studio hiring, that would be even better, but i think at this point anything will do.

Well, here's to my first blog post!
Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with this..I usually slack off on these things.
Anyways, picking up the ole guitar again, trying to get back into that...it's hard going back to it after a few years of not playing. I'm pretty amazed I still remember half the songs I knew back then.
The photo contest at Brickfish is going well, I'm almost up to the borderline of 150, if anyone would like to take this opportunity to vote, go right ahead!
And speaking of photos, I'm hoping to get out sometime this week on a little photo excursion. My camera is calling me and I haven't made time for it lately.
Oh, and about the blog title...it's an Avett Brother's reference, if you've no idea who they are, google them right now, you won't be disappointed.
